The N\u00f3gr\u00e1d Wildlife Park, which is worth visiting at dinnertime , where the animals are not caged, but can be admired from a tractor, a high platform or the back of a truck in their habitat in the middle of a beautiful forest. It's the experience of a lifetime to watch the animals appear one after the other from the depths of the forest, as slowly, to the sound of a tractor carrying food, 350 to 400 animals (wild boar, roe deer and fallow deer) emerge from the forest and gather in the valley, peacefully dining side by side, in great harmony and in complete tranquillity.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In winter and summer, the proximity of the forest and meadow and the wildlife of the area is exciting for all ages. As the gorge is a comfortable 2 - 2.5 hours max, there is plenty of time to travel a little further - in time even further. It's a good quarter of an hour's drive to Ipolytarn\u00f3c, a tiny N\u00f3gr\u00e1d village on the outskirts of the Geopark. The 22-hectare site has a 2 km nature trail with nearly 600 plant species from three continents (Europe, Asia and North America). You can learn about the pine forests of the Rocky Mountains, the sequoias of California, the semi-deserts of Oregon, the colourful plants of Japan, the bamboo groves of China, the forests of our own country and the spruce of the Carpathians. And in the Wildlife Park's paddocks, native big game species can be seen in environments similar to their native habitats. There's also a small playground at the entrance, and the drive up to the lake is fabulous.
